Melons'Heart Presentation

My Beautiful Place

As I could see the players warm up to start the game, people were cheering and laughing. After it had started we sang the national anthem. The national anthem had finished and the first team did their haka. It was good. When we did our haka, our one was the best. I saw the players’ faces and they looked like Warriors. I saw a sea of blue and white with cool face paints, and funny wigs too.

I heared the ref blow his whistle to start the game. I heard clapping, whistling, laughing and cheering. People were congratulating other people in the team.

I could feel the hot chips in my hand when I tasted it. I could feel the happiness and the excitement in the players. I could feel the sweat dripping from my forehead, the cold from the rain and I could feel the boiling sun just beating down on me.

At half time, I could taste some hot crispy chips and a hot dog just oozing down in my mouth. I could taste the glory of the players right after they scored a magnificent try.

I could smell the nice food coming from the tuck shop like,fish and chips,hot dogs,and candy floss. Grass and the mud when the run past me like a cheetah.

After the game had finished every one was exited that we had won the championship for NRL. They did their haka for a celebration and for their supporters and the people that came from far distance. After the game every one smelt like body odour and everyone had a great time.

Are you aware that the four leaf clover is only found in Ireland?The capital of Ireland is Dublin and it was found by vikings.

I have discovered that in Ireland they eat black pudding,potatoes,stew,corn beef,cabbage,box tea,soda bread,apple pie,potato pancake,pork sausages,codle and sausages.

Did you know that Liam Neeson is a famous actor,Joyce Cary is a famous writer,William Alexander is an famous poet and George Farquhar is an famous playwriter? These people are also all Irish!

I have discovered that the fun activities in Ireland are Irish dancing, hiking, shopping, golfing, dressing up as a leprechaun and pancake festival.

Did you know that in Ireland, black pudding is made out of animal blood and ham. In Ireland they have the most haunted castle called Ballygally castle.

Useing Google Maps

This is the map of New Zealand showing all the Stadium's that the Rugby World Cup teams are playing in.We used the pin's to show the Stadium's that the teams are playing in and we used Google maps.

Describing Piri Weepu.

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu...He got the ball and someone high tackled him. It was an penalty to the All Blacks. As I looked down at the hard rucking game, I knew that some team had to win. I saw Sonny-Bill Williams pass the ball to Piri Weepu. He zoomed and dodged rapidly and hard as he tried to get to the try line.

As Piri Weepu was trying to get to the try line he sprinted as fast as he could. He grabbed the rugby ball. As Piri was sprinting and was nearly at the try line the crowd went wild. Everyone screamed “GO PIRI!”

Piri Weepu looks like a warrior when he runs and he never gives up.Piri Weepu was born to play rugby. He sets up tries, practises his union and he has amazing skills. Piri breaks though tackles like a rhino.

Piri Weepu scores the try. He has done the best try ever. The All Blacks have won the game and the World Cup.

Buddy Writing Welcoming Tonga

As I drove into the airport it was crowded.When I got out of the car I saw hundreds and thousands of people at the airport.It was hot as I was waiting in the sun for 4 hours.I started to sizzle.I could hear people cheering,screaming,shouting,and singing in harmony as I was waiting in the sun.

As the crowd was growing, the noise was getting louder and louder.I couldn't hear the jet engines from the planes.Heaps of people were saying some Tongan language and shouting “Chee-hoo!” The people were going to spread the rugby fever. When the tongan rugby players came to the airport they were shocked to see the people supporting them.

John Campbell was getting hugs and kisses. When the sea of brown,red,and white was gone there were people still waiting on the footpath and waving the tongan flags.People were running and they were shouting in the camera.There were people dancing at the airport.This is an inspirational experience for the tongan rugby team.I hope they have a good game against the All Blacks.I wish Tonga good luck for the rugby world cup. Three more days!

The Alien

There was once an alien who did an experiment.He decided to put a bit sticky leaves into his experiment.He then spat into his lunch because it was yuck.That night he snuck out of the house to look for nicer food and then...He went to a boy's house and scared the boy.The boy ran away but the alien just wanted to have something to eat.

I have been on holiday but now I am back and blogging again! I have got tickets for the Rugby World Cup, but I have to clean up the house before I go to it. I am looking forward to taking my netbook home. I am also looking forward to going to the Rugby World Cup.

I researched Maori in Rugby from past to present as part of our topic 'Whanaungatanga'. Did you know that in In 1888–89, the 'New Zealand Natives' were the first overseas team to tour the Home Nations? Neither did I! Check out my presentation below!

My First Movie!

Miss Hansell set a challenge of making our very first movie using iMovie! We had to take the pictures, add transitions, add music and edit it all ourselves! Here is the end product, I hope you like it.

PIRATE SHIP

On Wednesday the Stars did a drawing of a pirate ship. We did this by drawing a 3m line for the ship, a 4m line for the sail and a 2m line for the fishing rod. Then we had to draw a fish attached to the fishing rod. After we had finished our fishing rod, we had to draw ourselves holding our fishing rod with the fish on it. We did this because our teacher Miss Kyla told us to do it. It was for our maths tumble and we are learning about Measurement.
